The leaves are turning, everything is golden & beautiful right now as we enter autumn.

October is a great month for foraging, there’s still plenty of time to get out in search of blackberries & sloes, elderberries are ripe for picking & there are mushrooms galore right now (just be sure to know exactly what you’re picking!), for more advice on foraging click here.

There are lot’s of delicious fruits in season right now, from apple, pears & quince, to grapes, figs & late fruiting raspberries.

October is probably most synonymous with pumpkins & squash as everything starts to become spiced but other vegetables in season include cabbage, beetroot, turnip & parsnips.

At the end of the month we have Halloween & it’s always fun to have a little play around with some spooky themed treats as well as more traditional ones, check out my Halloween collection for some spooky ideas.
